J-Rapha Hospital and Maternity was founded in 1987 by the late Dr. Cecilia Olayide Amotsuka, a dedicated and compassionate physician. Dr. Amotsuka’s vision was to create a one-stop family hospital that provided outstanding healthcare services for every member of the family.
Dr. Amotsuka’s contributions to healthcare in Nigeria were extraordinary. She was deeply committed to community health, particularly in women’s wellness and the prevention of cervical cancer. As the CEO and Medical Director of J-Rapha Hospital and Maternity, she ensured the safety of women during pregnancy, labor, and delivery.
Dr. Amotsuka’s passion for improving healthcare extended beyond her hospital. She actively participated in various medical associations and implemented programs to raise awareness about cervical cancer prevention and HIV/AIDS. Her tireless efforts and impactful contributions have left an indelible mark on the healthcare landscape in Nigeria.

Their dedicated management team lead by Joshua Amotsuka for 10+ years, a graduate of the University of Ibadan with certifications in human nutrition and hospital management, continues to improve the standard and legacy in caring for patients that was established by his mother, Dr. Cecilia Olayide Amotsuka. Under his leadership, J-Rapha Hospital and Maternity has continued to provide friendly and top-quality medical care, striving for excellence in clinical and preventive medical services.
